Each Pokémon has its Mega Energy, so the very first step for you is to open Pokémon GO, go to the Pokémon that you want to mega evolve, and check if you have enough mega energy for that Pokémon. Step 3. After you have successfully mega evolved a Pokémon, it will stay in its mega form for as long a four hours before returning to its normal form. Also, a good thing about mega evolution is that you only have to spend the most number of Mega Energy for the very first time you mega evolve, after that, the amount of mega energy required to mega evolve that Pokémon again is reduced to a great extent.

Mega Energy is the basis of Mega Evolution and, without this, no Pokémon can mega evolve in Pokémon. So, the need of getting the required amount of mega energy becomes very important. Mega Energy cannot be purchased from the shop, but there might be an option shortly.

Until then, mega energy can only be obtained through winning in Mega Raids and doing Special Research Tasks. Participating and winning a Pokémon GO requires a minimum of four trainers, and secondly, you must be located near a gym. If you are far away from any gym, you can still participate in Remote Mega Raids by asking any of your friends to invite you to the mega raids in their nearby gyms. To join them, you will need a Remote Raid pass. One great news for you is that the Remote raid pass is on MEGA SALE, and anyone can purchase three remote raid passes for only 1 PokeCoin.

Niantic has promised to bring in newer ways to earn Mega Energy in Pokémon GO after getting feedback from several trainers from all around the world.
