What is Pokémon GO Mega Evolution
Pokémon GO Mega Evolution is an ability of certain species of Pokémon to evolve past their final form for a limited time. In simpler words, a Pokémon that is capable of mega evolution evolve into its mega form to become more powerful for some amount of time, until the battle lasts. The Mega Evolution was introduced the Pokémon X and Y and uncover the hidden ability of the Pokémon to mega evolve. Although, a Pokémon which is capable of Mega Evolution cannot mega evolve on their own, but will need a Mega Stone with the Pokémon, and a Key Stone with the trainer. Also, the mega stone for each Pokémon varies with the species and, each Pokémon requires a distinct set of Mega Stone and Key Stone to undergo mega evolution and unleash the hidden power.
In Pokémon GO, rumors suggest that there would be Mega Bracelets, Z-Ring, or Mega Ring that would allow the trainers to mega evolve their Pokémon during a battle. Although, what are the level requirements for Mega Evolution, how do we mega evolve the Pokémon, any other similar questions are yet to be answered, and will be posted here upon confirmation.

Pokémon GO Primal Reversion
Pokémon GO Mega Evolution update might as well make the popular, two out of three weather trio Groudon and Kyogre capable of mega evolving. But, unlike the regular Pokémon that requires the Mega Stone and Keystone to mega evolve the weather trio does not need any mega or keystone. Rather, the Primal Reversion takes place in the presence of orbs. One thing that makes the Primal Reversion different from Mega Evolution is that Groudon and Kyogre can go through primal reversion multiple times during the same battle. Although, apart from this, the rest of the process is quite similar to mega evolution, and we have to see if the weather trio will be capable of mega evolving or not.
Pokémon GO Mega Evolution Release Date
All the Pokémon GO trainers have been waiting for the Pokémon GO Mega Evolution update since the official trailer was posted on YouTube a couple of months ago. But, apart from the trailer, there is no official announcement of the release date for the mega evolution update. If any official announcements will be made, we will be posting it on our website.
Conclusion
Pokémon GO Mega Evolution will be quite a significant update in the game, and also one of the biggest update. This update would change many aspects of the game and make trainers rethink about their PvP and PvE strategies. With as much as 46 different Pokémon capable of mega evolution, all the trainers sure will have to collect the Mega Stones and Key Stones for each capable Pokémon. There are other aspects of the update which are still not clear such as the total number of capable mega evolution Pokémon a trainer can have if the current Pokémon would be capable of Mega evolution or not, and other similar questions that can only be unveiled in coming days.
