Pokémon GO Mega Evolution is finally a real thing now, and any trainer can now have a mega evolved Pokémon. The month of September, for the trainers, packs so much excitement and offers quite a several ways to make progress in Pokémon GO, catch some rare Pokémon, battle in Mega Raids, collect Mega Energy, and mega evolve our Pokémon. The Pokémon GO September 2020 Schedule aims at providing trainers with the opportunity to battle in the Mega Raids as much as possible. To support this there is an exclusive limited time offer in which you can get as many as three Remote Raid passes for 1 PokeCoin only. Apart from all this, there are three new mega Pokémon lined up to be included in the Pokémon GO Mega Raids, including Mega Pidgeot, Mega Houndoom, and Mega Gengar. Let us now discuss how and when these new Mega Raid bosses will come to the Mega Raids.
Pokémon GO Mega September Event Exclusive Field Research Tasks
Before we can move onto discussing about the upcoming new mega raid bosses, you must know that there will be few research tasks upon completing which you can get Mega Energy for Gen 1 Pokémon, including Mega Blastoise, Mega Charizard, and Mega Venusaur. These research tasks, along with their rewards are listed below. You can complete these research tasks and get the rewards from September 1 to September 10, 2020.
|Mega Research Tasks||Rewards|

Pokémon GO Mega Pidgeot
Mega Pidgeot will be coming to Pokémon GO Mega Raids, and the fate of this Pokémon is only in your hands. Starting today, that is September 1, trainers from all around the world must battle in as many as two million “Mega Raids” collectively. If the target is met, before September 7, at 10:00 p.m. local time, then the Mega Pidgeot will be unlocked in the Mega Raids from September 7, 2020.
Apart from the Mega Pidgeot, the following Pokémon will be making appearances more frequently in the wild, including an increased chance of encountering a Shiny Lotad.!
- Lotad (Shiny Chance)
Pokémon GO Mega Houndoom
Similar to the Mega Pidgeot, there will be a chance to unlock Mega Houndoom in Pokémon GO. The number, 275 million looks insane, but unlike the mega raids, this time we are talking about the GO Battle League battles that are quite easy to do considering the fact that you do not have to go out, or need any friends for the same.
Apart from the Mega Houndoom, the following Bug Type Pokémon will be making an appearance more frequently in the wild from September 11 to September 17, 2020. You will also have a chance to encounter a Shiny Ledyba during that period.
- Ledyba (Shiny Chance)
Pokémon GO Mega Gengar
Mega Gengar is one of the coolest looking Pokémon among the other Mega Evolved Pokémon. Although, there is time until we can mega evolve our Gengar. Unlike the Mega Pidgeot and Mega Hundoom that requires a certain task to be completed to unlock these Pokémon in the Mega Raid battles, the scene with Mega Gengar is a little bit different. In the final week of September, that is Week 3, Trainers will get some Timed Research Tasks. Completing those timed research tasks the, “Pokémon GO Halloween Event” will be unlocked and will feature Mega Gengar in Pokémon GO.
Apart from that, during the final week of the Pokémon GO Mega September Event, Pokémon will be able to retain their Mega forms for as long as 12 hours, instead of four. The Poffin duration will also be doubled, and the Field research will reward an increased amount of Mega Energy for Beedrill. Also, some of the Pokémon that will be appearing more frequently in the wild during week three of the Pokémon GO Mega September Event are listed below.
- Doduo (Shiny Chance)
- Alolan Exeggutor
Pokémon GO Mega September Event provides a chance to unlock newer mega Pokémon Raid Bosses, including Mega Pidgeot, Mega Houndoom, and Mega Gengar. Not only this, but there are also certain Pokémon that will be appearing more frequently in the wild that we have already listed above. Each Mega Event week will have its perks that you can read HERE. All we have to do is give it our best, battle in as many Mega Raids as possible before September 7, and then get ready for the next week.
